Chapter Twenty-Four

Missy woke up and stretched. Mike was already up and about fixing breakfast which her heightened scenting ability told her was almost ready. She was hungry but, despite their mad passionate love session the night before, she was horny again. Not only was her period coming but it was Samhain, one of the eight times during the year when her supernatural energy would peak and be much greater than at other times. As a result, her heightened libido was also at its peak and starving for attention.

She called out in a sexy, come-hither voice to Mike. She would eat later.

Later … much later … Missy kissed Mike and said, “Let’s reheat that breakfast. I’m starved!”

Mike laughed and let his eyes wander all over her magnificent body. Her various scars were all visible but those only made her naked female flesh that much more exciting and desirable as far as he was concerned. “You’re always starved, Missy! I scrambled a dozen eggs plus there’s plenty of bacon. Let’s get going. You’ve got a very busy day and night ahead … we both do.”

Missy groaned, but only a little. Being alone with Mike like this was such a luxury. She wished such moments could be longer and more often. “Okay, where will we be going first?” She looked for some clothes which she would put on after she took a quick shower.

While they ate, they reviewed their schedule. Her sister Heather was nearby and she and Donald were expecting her. Missy was also anxious to see her twin nieces Wendy and Wanda who were almost four months now. Then they’d visit her parents and her younger brother Patrick over in Salem. Her older brother John was still down in New York, of course, spending the weekend with Tracy.

“If we have time, can we stop in to see Michele and Aaron?” asked Mike. His sister and her husband weren’t coming down for the full moon celebration this month. They always wanted to see Missy, however, whenever possible.

“Absolutely! Do you want me to check whether she might be pregnant? And, if she is, do I tell them?” Missy grinned. She had been the one to tell Heather, surprising her with that news a year earlier.

“If you determine that, why not tell me first. I’ll let you know then if you should tell them.” Mike thought his sister wanted to wait a bit but, now that she and Aaron were married, their plans might have changed.

“Okay, then we’ll go down to my place in Plymouth and see what Fred has lined up. I know Lisa and Marie will be there. They’ll brief me on all the latest SOD news. As will Gene and Amanda. I don’t know if anyone else from SOD is coming.”

“Amanda is due sometime next month,” said Mike. “She won’t be going in to work any longer until at least a month after their baby is born.”

“Good. There are several more in my pack who are expecting babies next month.
